Classification Title:PRN Physical Therapist Department:Rehab Therapies - Medical Center University Salary:Commensurate Type of Position:Temporary: A staff member may serve in temporary status in a continuous appointment for no more than one year to meet an emergency or temporary need of the University. Employees in this classification will not be eligible for University Benefits. Position Summary: The Department of Rehabilitation Therapies at the University of Iowa Health Care is looking for a PRN Physical Therapist to administer treatment to patients with complex physical dysfunctions, disorders and/or injuries and evaluate and interpret findings. This position will primarily be assigned to the adult inpatient acute care setting. Weekday and weekend hours are available. Education Required * A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a Bachelor's degree in another field and a Physical Therapy Certificate is required * Entry level experience in physical therapy in an inpatient acute care setting Experience Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Certifications
- Licensure in accordance with the Iowa Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners is required
Desirable Qualifications
- 1-3 years ofexperience in Physical Therapy
- 1-3 yearsof experience in providing physical therapy primarily to adults in an inpatient acute care setting
- Experience in critical care
- Ability to function as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated leadership in a work or academic setting
