About the Opportunity:

Pursuit Aerospace is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic team. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a growing organization that values excellence, innovation, and integrity.

As the Receiving/LCS Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance before reaching our customers. You will be responsible for performing detailed certification review of raw materials, special process certifications and purchased parts. while working closely with production and engineering teams.

Location: Plainville, CT

This is a 100% on-site role and is not eligible for hybrid or work-from-home.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify casting and forgings against supplier certifications (serial numbers, heat numbers, quantities)
  • Review raw materials, special process certifications for compliance to all drawing, specification and purchase order requirements.
  • When required, coordinate with purchasing and the supplier to obtain corrected certifications.
  • Perform visual and basic dimensional inspection using measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Perform hardness testing to verify material hardness
  • Scan certifications and other production documents to document retention database.
  • Coordinate material testing as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 year mechanical inspection experience with an aerospace manufacturing company
  • Must be able to understand and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Clear communication (oral and written) skills
  • Ability to keep accurate records
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to follow documented procedures, work instructions and customer required records.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PWA Laboratory Control at Source (LCS) Certification

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds
  • Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to travel between locations or to suppliers up to 25% of time.
