As a Freight Forwarder, you're the connector who keeps global supply chains in motion. From international shipments to specialized hazardous materials, you'll coordinate every detail to ensure goods move safely, efficiently, and on time. Partnering with clients, carriers, and internal teams, you'll turn complex logistics into seamless deliveries-keeping operations smooth and customers confident every step of the way. - Own the shipment process from start to finish, including booking, documentation, customs clearance, and hazardous materials handling.
- Keep clients, suppliers, and carriers in the loop, ensuring every shipment moves smoothly and arrives on time.
- Coordinate transportation-trucking, shipping, and air freight-tailored to the unique needs of each shipment.
- Handle all shipping and customs documents, including BOLs, commercial invoices, and export/import paperwork, while staying fully compliant with international trade regulations.
- Deliver top-notch customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns quickly and maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders.
- Build and refine internal processes for international and hazardous materials shipping, and coach team members to follow best practices.
- Optimize routes and shipping methods to cut costs, boost efficiency, and keep operations running like clockwork.
Qualifications That Shine
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent industry experience.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in logistics, shipping, or freight forwarding.
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations and customs requirements.
- Familiarity with EAR, ITAR, and denied parties regulations.
- Knowledge of hazardous materials shipping requirements and best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients, carriers, and internal teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
