North State Bank has an exciting opportunity for a Treasury Sales Officer for Wake and New Hanover Counties. This position cultivates and serves business relationships for both deposit and treasury management services. It's ideal for experienced bankers who enjoy diving into the details of commercial relationships and matching those organizations with North State's robust line of deposit and treasury services. The Treasury Sales Officer spends time managing their existing book of business and developing new business relationships through networking and being active in the community.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develops treasury management sales proposals and pricing information for prospective and existing customers illustrating cost/benefit analysis, service and fee comparisons, written proposals to further develop and strengthen business relationships
  • Calls on customers and prospects to determine the scope of the potential relationship opportunities and alignment with Bank's core values and strategic vision.
  • Actively engages in business development and civic initiatives with contacts throughout the community, including customers and prospective customers to achieve defined goals.
  • Participates in calling efforts with commercial lenders and relationship banking managers to fully understand customers' needs and to propose preferred solutions. Reviews customer base, periodically, to identify deposit and cash management services solutions based on customer's needs.
  • Serves as the internal Bank expert for treasury management product, services, and delivers internal cash management presentations.
  • Refers and engages resources throughout the Bank to meet customers' needs and strengthen business relationships.
  • Conduct annual cash management reviews for identified commercial customers.
  • Refer the customer to the offices for the sale of additional financial products and services.

Qualifications (Includes education, certifications, experience, etc.):

  • A bachelor's degree in business management or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Five or more years of deposit gathering in commercial banking industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of treasury management products.
  • A proven record of meeting and exceeding deposit and revenue objectives.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge and ensures compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, and follows all Bank policies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Excellent listening, verbal, written and business communication skills delivered in person, via email or phone.
  • Advanced experience with MS Office Products and ability to adapt, learn and support new products and technology.
