Stellantis is currently seeking a Transmission System Simulation Engineer who will work closely with engine design release and development groups, suppliers and other functional groups, using CAE analyses in the areas listed below to proactively guide the designs to:



  • Meet engine design targets and timing
  • Build mathematical models to best simulate the engine/transmission lubrication and hydraulic control to guide engine and transmission designs
  • Use simulations to improve transmission efficiency and reduce lubrication system friction losses
  • Use simulations to improve engine oil lubrication and bearing simulation of valve train and cranktrain to look at deformations, oil film thickness, thermal loads, asperity contact pressure, oil flow, oil pressure drop, etc.
  • Perform several what-if analysis to understand the physics of various Vehicle-Powertrain sub-system interactions during transient operating conditions to improve extreme ambient fuel economy and electric range
  • Use 1D CFD codes to perform system level analyses

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering or related degree field
  • Minimum one-year experience with 1D modeling of Lubrication/hydraulics system of engine and transmission and 1D thermal modeling of engine systems, e-motor and battery.
  • Must be capable of managing multiple on-going projects
  • Must be capable of working independently and in teams
  • Demonstrated problem solving and leadership skills
  • Candidate must have excellent written / oral communication and organizational skills.
