TITLE: Charging Control Systems Technical Specialist

DUTIES: Develop and design of high voltage charging systems for electrified powertrain applications. Design and test application-level software for the HCP/EVCU to interface with the onboard charging, HV battery module and other systems. Ensure the engineering processes, methods and best practices are followed in developing existing and future technologies. Manage and lead controls development for advanced projects for AC, DC, Wireless types of charging or discharging systems, including diagnostics, conformance, interoperability, validation, and customer interface requirements, including onsite testing and offsite at project validation sites. Develop, update, and implement associated standards in SAE, ISO, IEC and IEEE. Perform competitive analysis, coordination of advanced technology projects and participation in advanced projects to validate systems towards production implementation and support resulting updates to SAE, DIN, ISO, IEC, IEEE and UL standards.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Mechanical, Materials or Electrical Engineering or related and 5 years of experience in job offered or related position in charging controls. Experience must include: Experience with GaN and SiC semiconductor materials and usages of inverter modules; reviewing and approving technical documentation including DFMEAs, DVP&Rs and ensuring proper flow for function, failure mode, and design controls; defining product requirements, selecting/Specifying/validating critical systems; providing technical guidance and directions during supplier tech reviews and critical design reviews; 1 year of experience in DC charging control development; and 2 years of experience in Power Inverter development.
