Job Summary

The Facilities Division of The Aerospace Corporation is dedicated to providing quality leadership, agile solutions, and exceptional enterprise integrated services that enables achieving mission success in the rapidly changing space enterprise environment.

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Property Compliance Specialist to support management with the maintenance and oversight of the Corporate Property Management Systems.The role ensures the system provides tracking and accountability as required by contract requirements, government regulations, and corporate policies and practices.

The selected candidate is required to work full-time, onsite at our facility in El Segundo, CA.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Analyzes and researches newly acquired property items to determine tagging and tracking; reviews financial information through SAP and other applications.
  • Creates initial records within the property database and updates records as needed.
  • Assists with developing educations material and provides training on the use of the corporate property system.
  • Educates employees on current and newly revised corporate policies, practices and regulations.
  • Assists management with developing physical inventory schedules; runs various reports to determine inventory status of particular items; research hard-to-locate items.
  • Prepares audit review packages by gathering required information.
  • Audits monthly SAP reports for Finance/Property related anomalies.
  • Research discrepancies and advises Finance staff of problems and related research findings; coordinates with Finance to determine financial course of action.
  • Maintains Government property records.

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements for the Property Compliance Specialist III

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Six or more year of relevant experience
  • Financial database experience
  • Experience in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel

In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for the Property Compliance Specialist IV include:

  • Ten or more years of relevant experience

How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

  • National Property Management Association certification or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of Property related FAR and DFAR clauses
  • Experience in SAP

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.

$30.80 - $56.16 Pay Basis: Hourly
