The Senior Applications Programmer serves as the technical lead for software sustainment and enhancement of the MEBS application suite. The role is responsible for designing, coding, testing, and maintaining application software in support of MEBS's mission to manage DLA's mapping product lifecycle. Responsibilities Develop, test, implement, and maintain application software modules supporting MEBS operations. Execute coding and configuration tasks to support system patches, upgrades, and new feature releases. Analyze functional requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications. Conduct unit, system, and integration testing; perform regression testing prior to deployment. Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and performance issues. Support development of enhancement/interface requirements and ensure adherence to configuration management standards. Collaborate with database administrators, cybersecurity staff, and infrastructure engineers to ensure software reliability and compliance. Provide technical input for training materials, release notes, and user documentation. Mentor junior developers and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 7-10 years of application development experience, preferably within DoD or federal enterprise systems. Proficiency in Oracle, Java, PL/SQL, and web-based application frameworks. Experience with enterprise software testing, integration, and deployment in secure cloud environments. Knowledge of configuration management, version control, and software lifecycle processes. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
