Continuation past the termlengthdiscussed willbebasedonuniversityneed,performance,and/oravailabilityoffunding.POSITION SPECIFICS The laboratory of Professor Benjamin Lear in the Chemistry Department at The Pennsylvania State University seeks to fill a postdoctoral research position to work in the areas of data visualization and instructional design. The position requires a PhD in a science discipline, preferably chemistry. Additional training in basic science education research skills is desired. This includes both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Additional desirable technical skills include the ability to use Python, Latex, and a wide range of plotting software, including Excel, Data Graph, Veusz, etc. Researchers with demonstrated expertise in the design of data visualizations, the teaching of design of data visualizations, and assessments of data visualizations are preferred. Preference will also be given to candidates who have a record of publications and presentations in the area of science education. It is desirable that the candidates will have demonstrated experience in using of large language model-based artificial intelligence tools in the context of teaching.
