Penn United is now recruiting for a detail-oriented candidate to provide timely quotes of optimum price and delivery according to customer drawings and specifications and to serve as a catalyst for the economic growth of the company. In this role, you will provide quoting services for our Tooling department. Responsibilities:



  • Evaluate requests, provide quotes for customers, and keep and maintain quotation records in an organized manner
  • Enter quotation data into computer database using Visual Mfg. and/or quote work sheet (Excel)
  • Maintain accuracy on computer of quotation data
  • Research job history to estimate resource hours, pricing, etc... and to ensure accurate and concise quotes
  • Meet with tooling manufacturing personnel, managers and team leaders to keep abreast of current PUT capabilities and procedures
  • Research and obtain quotes from vendors needed to supply materials and services
  • Determine lead time needed
  • Strive for 99% error free and on time delivery of quotes
  • Build relationships with and serve customers
  • Respond promptly to calls and inquires from customers
  • Verify original information, deviations and changes in orders with customers
  • Discuss quotes with customers via telephone or in-house meetings
  • Clarify warranty, payment terms, inspection, and service issues with customers


Qualifications

Qualifications:



  • Manufacturing experience required. Prior experience in tool & die and/or stamping strongly preferred
  • Solid knowledge of manufacturing and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Proven ability to interpret blueprints, product specifications and design data
  • Able to communicate and persuade effectively in writing (quotations) and in person
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (intermediate level)
  • Strong project and time management skills; able to plan and prioritize quotation activities; able to be flexible
  • Able to insure accuracy and soundness of quotes
  • Able to track large amounts of numbers and details
  • Able to complete assignments and achieve planned results on time
  • Strong understanding of general and specific customer requirements
  • Objective, honest and straightforward in all dealings
  • Timely, accurate and strong decision maker on quotations
  • Sound business judgment, cost conscious and open to receiving advice and feedback
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED required
