As a Manager of Maintenance and Facilities, you will be accountable to plan, lead, and manage the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance department to support the two Product Lines at the Wolf Lake, Illinois site.

What You'll Do

As a Manager of Maintenance and Facilities, you will be accountable to plan, lead, and manage the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance department to support the two Product Lines at the Wolf Lake, Illinois site. Duties include:

  • Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety

  • Ensure compliance with applicable HSE performance standards, objectives and regulations

  • Live and foster the Dyno Nobel Limited Corporate Values

  • Direct activities in area of responsibility to attain maximum plant operating efficiency.

  • Manage operation within approved budget for controllable costs. Participate in annual budget process and develop budget within areas of responsibility.

  • Write or participate in developing CEP's for annual CAPEX spending.

  • Maintain good personnel relations by explaining company goals and policies.

  • Facilitate all personnel actions as required (scheduling, recognition and reward, discipline)

  • Conduct communication meetings.

  • Makes daily inspection of proper operation and condition of plant process and equipment. Ensures all units and areas are kept in clean and orderly fashion. Takes necessary action to correct and complement findings.

  • Coordinate with maintenance to address needed repair work modifications within areas of responsibility.

  • Plans and prepares special instructions for areas of responsibility.

  • Support manufacturing with design and project support that provides infrastructure and process maintenance/repairs/upgrades as needed.

  • Provide innovative equipment improvements to meet Zero Harm and meet/exceed changing customer demands.

  • Responsible for coordinating and leading daily infrastructure maintenance of manufacturing and plant systems on site, including budgeting and man-power allocation.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a Science or Engineering discipline preferred.

  • 3+ years demonstrated management skills in an industrial/manufacturing environment

  • 5+ plus years (combined) in one or more of the following industries: energetic materials, chemical refining, or technical manufacturing.

  • Ability to troubleshoot issues in all the various processes associated with explosives manufacturing.

  • Good working knowledge of the Quality Assurance program and manufacturing processes through previous assignments.

  • Ability to interact and discuss issues with regulatory compliance officials.

  • Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.
