Our overall mission as Epiroc Drilling Solutions Automation R&D is to pioneer the future of mining by delivering cutting-edge automation technologies that redefine safety, efficiency, and sustainability.

Your overall mission as Senior Software Tester is to ensure iterations of automation products in an efficient way with short time to market. You are responsible for verification and documentation of the intended and actual behavior of software tasks and the reporting of software opportunities. You will collaborate with the team before and throughout the development process to efficiently achieve the priorities and goals of the Product Engineers to maximize value to customers.

Monday - Friday from 6:30 am - 3:30 pm

Principal Responsibilities:



  • Data driven approach to understand field, production, and development issues and opportunities.
  • Understand the user experience, report software opportunities and document the behavior of Automation Software in an efficient manner to set customers' expectations.
  • Contribute to meetings in agile process including Discoveries, Backlog Grooming, Estimation and Retrospective meetings. Lead test related meetings.
  • Collaboration within the agile Development team throughout (Before, During and After) the development cycle to define, refine and verify task requirements.
  • Review software requirements to create, review and execute test cases, accurately reporting findings.
  • Understand networking concepts, Linux, Python, and other software automated testing tools
  • Support a consistent release train based on calendar release dates, not content. Reduce time to market with increased sustainability.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:



  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM field or the equivalent relevant work experience
  • An understanding of control system logic is desirable
  • An understanding of electronics and hydraulic systems
  • An understanding of RCS software, configurations and options on RCS machines and devices is desirable
  • 2 to 6+ years of experience



Required Physical Effort:



  • Light lifting required.
  • Must be able to climb and move around on heavy drilling machinery.
  • Travel to mine sites and conferences which may include overseas travel.
