Art Director / Experiential

Job Description:

Our team at Aquent is seeking talented and experienced Art Director (Experiential) to support our Experiential Marketing Agency client. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in creating innovative and impactful visual concepts for large-scale events - conferences, trade shows, environmental installations, etc. This role requires a strong understanding of both print and digital media, as well as the ability to seamlessly integrate them into cohesive experiences.

This Art Director should be able to create concepts for experiences and interactives. They also should have experience with large format printing and environments or events.

• This role is fully remote
• Hours: approx 30 hours per week
• Dates: October to March

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including strategy, account management, and production, to develop creative concepts and approaches.
• Generate original design concepts and oversee projects from inception to execution.
• Develop compelling visual narratives aligned with project briefs, utilizing words, images, and sketches.
• Create event/theme identity systems incorporating color, typography, and imagery (focus on event identity, not extensive brand identity design).
• Develop storyboards to visualize experiences and content flow.
• Select props and plants to enhance event environments.
• Provide art direction to Graphic Designers for the creation of various creative elements.
• Coordinate design projects with creative project managers, event producers, graphic producers, and digital producers.
• Manage design assets and approvals through Click Up.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as an Art Director with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful large-scale event and experiential work
• Expert knowledge of print and digital design principles and production processes.
• Ability to develop compelling visual concepts and bring them to life.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
• A passion for creating immersive and unforgettable experiences.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $50 to $56 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.Additional benefits offered may include; medical health insurance and dental insurance, life insurance, and eligibility to participate in 401k plan with company match.
