DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will receive both formal and hands-on training to care for our veteran residents. After completing an 8-hour online course, 16-hour classroom session, and an 80-hours orientation program, you will be eligible for promotion to a Nurse Aide position. While training, you will develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities to provide non-professional rehabilitative nursing care and treatment. These responsibilities will include distributing meals, transporting residents, and engaging in social activities. You will also be responsible for changing linens, cleaning medical equipment, and responding to requests for snacks and water. Additionally, you will contribute to residents' Plans of Care by attending interdisciplinary team meetings. Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are as follows, with rotating days and weekends, and a 30-minute lunch.
- 1st shift: 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM
- 2nd shift: 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
