Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining software applications using cutting-edge technologies. This role requires a strong understanding of computer science principles and experience in object-oriented programming languages such as Java or C++. Additionally, knowledge of web development frameworks like AngularJS or React would be beneficial. Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, development, documentation, and deployment.

  • Define and refine technical designs and processes in collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Apply deep knowledge of multiple domains and systems to inform architectural decisions.

  • Investigate and resolve complex software issues using diagnostic analysis and operational insights.

  • Lead and mentor junior developers in coding best practices and solution design.

  • Provide on-call support and respond to urgent issues as needed.

  • Write, document, debug, and refactor code; lead peer code reviews to ensure code quality.

  • Maintain high standards of software quality through adherence to coding standards and quality assurance practices.

  • Lead release management activities including deployment and validation.

  • Implement and maintain monitoring, observability, and disaster recovery solutions.

  • Identify and resolve security vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance with secure coding standards.

  • Propose and lead process improvements to enhance team productivity and efficiency.

  • Drive cross-team collaboration with Product Support, QA, SREs, and other stakeholders.

  • Apply deep knowledge of software engineering principles and industry best practices to guide technical decisions.

  • Demonstrate thought leadership through coaching, technical guidance, and project ownership.

Minimum Requirments

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field (or equivalent experience) and Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in software engineering.

Technical Skills:

Cloud Platforms: Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes

Programming Languages & Frameworks: ReactJS, NodeJS, TypeScript, NextJS, JQuery, Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Hibernate, SQL/PL SQL

Databases: PostgreSQL, Oracle

Source Code Management & Build Tools: GitHub, Maven, NPM

Monitoring & Observability Tools: Dynatrace, Datadog, ELK Stack

Testing: Manual and Automation Testing Tools

Other Skills:

  • Experience with multi-tiered web-based systems and complex data-driven applications

  • Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies

  • Expertise in system design and architecture

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Proven leadership in technical mentoring and project execution.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$126,000 - $210,000
