City/State: Bronx, New York Grant Funded: No Department: Card - Heart Failure Faculty Practice Work Shift: Day Work Days: MON-FRI Scheduled Hours: 8:30 AM-5 PM Scheduled Daily Hours: 7.5 HOURS Pay Range: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 TheExercise physiologist (EP)will support the clinical and research activities of the Heart Failure, Cardiac Transplantation and LVAD programs by administering cardiopulmonary exercise tests, 6 minute walk tests, and other related evaluations, as directed by the attending physicians. The EP will also conduct exercise testing in collaboration with the physicians during right heart catheterizations and will be responsible for all administrative work processes associated with such testing. The EP is expected to function independently, and maintain a safe and fully functional laboratory in compliance with Montefiore's regulations. Requirements/ Qualifications Bachelors degree BS in Exercise Physiology strongly Preferred Certification by the National Academy of Sport Medicine Preferred ACLS certification BLS certification ACSM Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist Exam Bloodborne Pathogens Training Certification Superior written and oral communication skills Bilingual a plus Montefiore Medical Center is an equal employment opportunity employer.
