The primary purpose of this role is to lead strategy and growth of the Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) program to achieve business goals. This role will set the growth strategy for the VMI program, lead a team of analysts, and drive improvement projects. Effective communication abilities are crucial for working closely with external partners and cross-functional teams in this position. The VMI Manager collaborates closely with external distributor partners, sales, product management, customer service, and integrated supply chain teams. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter, capable of achieving objectives in a fast-paced environment, who can successfully collaborate with all levels of management.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Drive strategy development and execution of the nVent Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) program. Provide best-in-class service for distributor partners on the program. Drive growth in the program to new distributor partner locations. Collaborate with sales, planning, product management, and extended ISC team to achieve customer objectives. Build-out advanced reporting and analytics to improve stocked product flow for nVent and distributor partner locations. Develop digital tools for enhanced decision making. Provide insights on end-customer demand trends to executive leadership. Integrate insights in to the Sales, Inventory and Operations (SIOP) process. Lead improvement projects and lead initiatives in the broader planning organization. Direct management of team of VMI analysts that support the program.
YOU HAVE:
Bachelor's degree or higher preferred. 5+ years of supply chain experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. ERP experience; JDE experience preferred. Experience developing and applying data visualization tools using systems such as Tableau or Power BI. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications. Strong verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization and with external partners.

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range: $89,300.00 - $165,800.00
