Machine Operator Trainee

Are you ready to launch your career in manufacturing? Staffmark is hiring a Machine Operator Trainee-a hands-on opportunity to learn the ins and outs of precision machining. In this role, you'll gain experience operating Davenport and Acme machines, reading blueprints, and contributing to a skilled, collaborative team. No prior machining experience? No problem-we'll train the right candidate!

Pay: $19.25/hour

Schedule: 2nd Shift

What You'll Do:

• Learn to set up and operate multi-spindle Davenport and Acme machines
• Follow blueprints and process documents to meet quality standards
• Assist in developing methods for machining complex or custom parts
• Regrind high-speed and carbide tooling as needed
• Troubleshoot issues and make real-time adjustments
• Suggest improvements to programs and job processes
• Maintain production targets and accurate documentation
• Support and mentor fellow team members as you grow
• Perform routine machine maintenance
• Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe
• Contribute in other machining areas as required

What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Manufacturing experience is a plus-but we'll train the right person
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Basic math skills: decimals, fractions, percentages, ratios, and conversions
• A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
