Responsibilities

Provide seated chair massage for therapeutic purposes to Primary and Extended Care patients

  • Provide seated chair massage and related services in a therapeutic environment for patients and other customer groups to aid in managing stress, pain, and promotion of self-care
  • Provide documentation of service, client response and aftercare plans, within documentation standards, through the use of consult forms, RMIS AC plans and phone communication with appropriate staff
  • Demonstrate a commitment to professionalism and the core values through ongoing education, maintaining quality standards, and continual evaluation
  • Assure a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, guests, and visitors.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High school or equivalent
  • Vocational or technical training
  • 500 hours instruction from accredited massage program
  • Current CPR certification or obtain within 30 days.
    • Certification must be from American Red Cross or American
      Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Work in CD or therapeutic recreation setting
