Job Summary: PCG is seeking a Corporate Tax Accountant for its' corporate operations based in Lenexa, KS. This position is responsible for filing tax returns, communicating with tax jurisdictions, performing tax research, assisting in audits and insuring that the company is in compliance with federal, state and local tax guidelines.



  • Timely and accurately prepare assigned federal, state, local, property, sale & use and special tax returns, by collecting, analyzing, and formatting financial information.
  • Timely respond and resolve jurisdictional inquires and correspondence.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local requirements by studying jurisdictional documents and regulations; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
  • Perform assigned tax account reconciliations and follow up through researching, documenting and resolving exceptions.
  • Maintain current professional and technical knowledge by attending on-line webinars, educational seminars and reviewing professional publications.
  • Contribute to team goals by accomplishing related tasks timely.
  • Assist with tax audits with minimal branch disruptions.
  • Assist in the preparation of income tax apportionment & provision work papers.
  • Provide excellent customer service to support branch operations by providing timely and accurate responses to inquiries.


Basic Requirements:



  • Degree in accounting is preferred (relevant experience will be considered)
  • Previous experience with sales and use tax compliance in a multistate environment is a plus
  • Previous experience with Federal, State, Income & Franchise Tax a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret tax requirements for a jurisdiction is required
  • Previous tax research experience a plus (CCH, BNA, RIA)
  • Experience with Microsoft AX and CCH - Sales Tax Office (STO) a plus, Microsoft D365 and Thompson Reuters Determination
  • Personal computer skills are required; creating, populating and maintaining spreadsheets and documents to perform compliance functions and correspondence. Currently use Microsoft AX, CCH-Sales Tax Office, Microsoft D365 and Thompson Reuters Determination, CCH-Intelliconnect, Insource RS Express, Excel and Word
