Compensation

The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is$65,900.00 to$109,800.00.

Position Details

Pricing Analysts provide pricing leadership and decision-making support to the GIS Pricing, Sales and Marketing organizations. You will provide analysis to leadership assisting those leaders to understand the drivers of pricing decisions. You will help improve competitive pricing intelligence, conduct detailed cost and price analysis, and guide the implementation of pricing decisions. You will work in close collaboration with other parts of the organization including Merchandising, Supplier Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service. Pricing Analysts work a hybrid schedule in office three days per week at either the Lake Forest, IL headquarters or Chicago, IL Merchandise Mart office.

You Will

  • Work with Pricing vendor and further enhance Grainger's competitive pricing intelligence
  • Develop pricing models to analyze the potential primary pricing strategies and price opportunities
  • Test, analyzing and optimizing pricing strategies, programs and tactics
  • Provide accurate pricing and profitability analysis to help guide decisions
  • Analyze market pricing information and providing insights to leadership
  • Partner with Pricing Analytics team to develop reliable forecasting models and program performance metrics
  • Develop post analysis and provide recommendations to leadership
  • Develop reporting and pricing tools to allow field (Sales/Customer Service) to better communicate pricing issues to the customer

You Have

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 1+ year of professional experience.
  • Proficiency with information systems, including SQL, Teradata, SAP. SAS and SPSS knowledge a plus
  • Good financial, analytical and decision-making skills
  • Working knowledge of business strategies including customer requirements, Supply Chain strategies, product information strategies and marketing strategies
  • Experience developing financial/pricing analysis and implementing changes based on analysis
  • Ability to manage detailed projects and processes within defined timeframe
