Job Title: Assistant Vice President, Portfolio Manager - Commercial Real Estate Deposit Officer

What you'll do: As a Portfolio Manager II/Real Estate Deposit Officer - Commercial you'll be responsible for developing new business relationships and growing existing relationships within the Southern California market, specifically concentrating on the growth of deposits. The position is responsible for attaining established individual, division and corporate goals through active participation in sales management and officer call programs
- Along with the Vice President, Commercial Banker interface with clients in-person, over the phone and email in order to assess their deposit needs and determine the best structure and items needed.
- Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with referral sources (external and internal) within assigned market including a general understanding of our TM products.
- Develops and maintains sales and marketing plan targeted atmiddle marketfirms and referral sourcesin conjunction with division objectives.
- Calls on prospects, clients and referral sources to expand account relationships and develop targeted business relationships.
- Accountable for developing and administering plans to meet budget goals and performance standards set by management.
- Consistently applies good decision making techniques pertaining to inquiries, approvals, requests as they apply to existing policies and procedures.
- Engages in business development activities and solicitation of new business; actively involved in instilling and maintaining a positive sales environment through education of the Bank's products and services.
- Develops and maintains knowledge of financial industry, economy, market conditions, rates, vendors and competition.
- Shares regional team responsibility for maintaining relationships with theentrepreneurial community.
- Reinforce superior customer service through your own example along with appropriate follow-through with involved customers and employees.
What you'll need:
- 4+ years of related experience in Portfolio Management or similar field.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
- Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
- Intermediate knowledge of commercial credit and loan structuring, and pricing dynamics. Credit analyst training completed.
- Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $107,395.00 - $118,000.00 for Los Angeles, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted stock.
