Cybersecurity Engineer

What success looks like in this role:

* Design and implement security architectures, policies, and procedures.

* Monitor and analyze security incidents and alerts to identify potential threats.

* Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknesses.

* Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure software development practices.

* Implement and manage security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems).

* Conduct security training and awareness programs for employees.

* Respond to security breaches and incidents, conducting post-incident analyses.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

BA/BS degree and 0-2 years' relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.

* years of experience in cybersecurity or related roles.

* Strong understanding of security protocols, cryptography, and network security.

* Experience with security tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners).

* Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).

Preferred Skills:

* Cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CEH, CISM, etc.) are a plus.

* Knowledge of cloud security practices and technologies.

* Experience with incident response and forensic analysis.
