WSU Tech is seeking a Admin Specialist, TRIO & Student Engagement to support the TRIO Student Support Services and Student Engagement departments. This role provides both administrative support and direct student engagement, helping to plan, coordinate, and evaluate programs and events while serving as the first point of contact for students and visitors.
- Compensation: $23.01 /hr
- Worksite Location: Primary South Campus - Will float to other locations as needed.
Overview/Job Duties:
- Provide general office support (phones, scheduling, reports, data entry, and file management).
- Greet and assist students and visitors at the TRIO front desk.
- Maintain office calendars, schedule appointments, and support staff with student outreach.
- Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating TRIO and Student Engagement programs and events.
- Manage department purchasing, travel expenses, and supply requests.
- Promote teamwork, compliance, professionalism, and exceptional service.
- Participate in 20 hours of professional development annually.

Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Experience in administrative support, preferably in an educational setting.
- Familiarity with TRIO programs or similar student support services.
Additional Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a professional office, administrative, or reception role.
- Prior experience working with disadvantaged students and families preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Full-time position with varied schedule as needed (occasional evenings and weekends).
- Position requires ability to sit or stand for extended periods and travel between campuses.
- Must maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
