Job Description

Take responsibility of daily pastry production for the hotel, including banquets and restaurant operations.



Responsibilities

    Must be able prepare icing, pie fillings, custards and other desserts
  • Must be familiar with a variety of pastry cooking techniques.
  • Must be experienced with batch / quantity cooking
  • Prepare items according to standard recipes or as specified
  • Check and control the proper storage of product, monitor condition of all food items, rotating and maintaining the highest quality.
  • Maintain high quality and appearance of all pastry items
  • Ability to decorate with sugars and icing
  • Assist in other areas of the Kitchen when needed, including preparing hot and cold items outside of pastry with the assistance of chef and team members


Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Ability to work independently and work as a team.
  • Ability to multi task.
  • Must maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
  • Previous pastry experience required.
  • Must be able to stand / walk for the entire duration of the shift.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Must be open to working weekends and holidays.
  • Must be open working to business demand with no set days off.
