Tufts University: School of Arts & Sciences: Studies in Race, Colonialism, and Diaspora Location Medford, MA Open Date Sep 23, 2025 Description The Department of Studies in Race, Colonialism, and Diaspora (RCD) at Tufts University is seeking a part-time Lecturer to teach one introductory course for the Spring 2026 semester (01/14/26 - 05/08/2026) in areas of either Native American & Indigenous Studies or Latinx Studies. Candidates teaching at the intersection of these two interrelated fields are also encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to transformative pedagogy and the ability to teach introductory-level courses that align with the department's mission to critically examine race, colonialism, and diaspora across local and global contexts. Qualifications Candidates should be an advanced Ph.D. student (ABD) or hold a doctorate in a relevant field, and be able to provide evidence of excellence in teaching, including evidence of creative pedagogical practice that reflects knowledge of current methodologies. Evidence of a commitment to designing curricula that address issues of equity and justice with a focus on marginalized communities.
