ARES is seeking a Multimedia Producer to provide support focused on integration and maintenance of public-facing content for the NASA Science Mission Directorate in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is the Agency's enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications through the use of the internet, digital platforms, and IT management for NASA's Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, to producing engaging videos, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA's message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA's communication to the outside world. This is a hybrid eMITS position supporting NASA Headquarters in Washington DC. While mostly remote, there is a need for a local presence for those rare in person meetings with stakeholders.

JOB DESCRIPTION / FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This individual should be skilled with the WordPress Content Management System.
  • The incumbent will work independently, supporting customer requests and projects in support of the NASA Science digital presence. Communicating and assisting stakeholders from across the different Science Divisions.
  • Content creation, editing, and maintenance of digital content promoting public awareness of Science missions. Prepare imagery, documents, and video content for public dissemination with the use of the Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office products.
  • Review and edit meta data, captions, alternative text where applicable.
  • Be familiar with Google web analytics to track trends and report on the interaction rate of features and campaigns. Share with stakeholders what worked and what would benefit future campaigns.
  • Be an advocate. Keeping content organized for both tracking and easy of discovery for the public.

EDUCATION AND PREVIOUS WORK REQUIREMENTS:

  • Applicants for this position requires a 4-year degree.
  • Such as BA or BS in graphic design, marketing, communication or relevant field with 4 years or more of work experience.

EXPERIENCE/COMPETIENCIES/SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in WordPress Content Management System or similar applications
  • Proficiency in Web and Accessibility Standards
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiar with Search Engine Optimization, Web Analytics and Metrics
  • Ability to work independently, be proactive, and serve as a team player
  • Attention to details, excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, OneDrive), SharePoint, and Box.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous NASA or Federal Government experience.
  • Project Management or Agile Certification(s).
  • Previous experience in Organizational Change Management.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
