Intern - Analytics and Data Science (Medicaid) - Hybrid

• Hybrid Individual Contributors: must reside in AZ, unless otherwise cited within this posting, required to be onsite at least once per week

• Hybrid 2 (Operational Roles such as but not limited to: Customer Service, Claims Processors, and Correspondence positions): must reside in AZ, unless otherwise cited within this posting, required to be onsite at least once per month

• Onsite: daily onsite requirement based on the essential functions of the job

• Remote: not held to onsite requirements, however, leadership can request presence onsite for business reasons including but not limited to staff meetings, one-on-ones, training, and team building

Please note that onsite requirements may change in the future, based on business need, and job responsibilities. Most employees should expect onsite requirements and at a minimum of once per week.

This internship will work with the Analytics and Data Science team to perform data extractions and healthcare cost analysis to support Coporate strategies and initiatives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Required Work Experience

• College-level coursework related to business, mathematics, statistics, healthcare administration, public health or other related technical field

Required Education

• High-School Diploma or GED in general field of study
• Two years attendance at an accredited school pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in related field of study

• GPA of 3.0 or higher

• Assist Analytics and Data Science team to develop, organize, and track analysis that impact business decisions
• Work with the team to create reporting and analytical insights
• Participate on work teams, contribute to projects and initiatives, and perform various tasks
• Expand and develop knowledge through exposure to the roles within the team
• Compile information and provide recommendations for improvement
• Prepare research in evaluating current and future healthcare insights
• Prepare analytics dashboards to track and glean insights from performance
• Perform all other duties as assigned

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (PPT, Excel, Access)
• Basic project management and time-management
• Strong organizational skill and attention to detail and quality
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
