BHC Alhambra is dedicated to providing quality behavioral health, substance abuse, and eating disorder treatment. We offer inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient options for individuals in the communities of the San Gabriel Valley, Los Angeles County, and surrounding areas. Under the guidance of the Director of Outpatient Services, the Outpatient Clinical Coordinator is primarily responsible for the coordination of the daily group scheduling included but not limited to assigning patients to appropriate groups, assigning therapists' group assignments, organizing group progress notes, and oversight of daily billing. Such responsibility will be performed in a collaborative effort with transportation services, case management, nursing and adjunct services as necessary. The Clinical Coordinator performs functions to include assisting patients in meeting their bio-psychosocial needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching, complete specialized clinical social work services for patients/ families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed. Education: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field. Experience: Requires a minimum of two (2) years experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills. For a specialty program (for example, Eating Disorders) experience must be with that population. In lieu of experience specialized education and training may be acceptable.
