This opportunity is currently in the bidding phase, We are eager to consider strong candidates who may be a great fit for this opportunity should ServiceSource receive an award. This position would be full-time and onsite in Boyers, PA or St. Louis, MO and requires an active Secret clearance.

Job Summary

The General Clerk I provides basic administrative and clerical support for the Case Processing Operations Center (CPOC), assisting in the intake, routing, and documentation of personnel security and federal background investigation materials. This entry-level role supports routine tasks under close supervision and follows clearly defined procedures.

Primary Duties

  • Screen and direct all telephone calls

  • Provide escort duties for visitors

  • Provide Case Processing Services, to include Application Ingestion Services, Case Maintenance Services, Item Level Processing, and Post Closing

  • Image material for the application ingestion and post-closing functions.

  • Monitor cases throughout the investigative process

Additional Responsibilities

  • Validate and process background investigations for completeness and accuracy

  • Research incoming material to determine if it is required for an active background investigation

  • Prepare material for return to the requesting agency for correction

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) preferred.

  • One-year experience in related field, preferred.

  • Experience working on a Government Contract, preferred.

  • Must be able to pass extensive government background, criminal and drug screening processes to meet current ServiceSource and/or government legibility requirements that apply or become applicable to this position required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must be able to work on routine and repetitive tasks for long periods with minimum supervision.

  • Ability to make minor decisions regarding mail issues/questions.

  • Knowledge in operating various office machinery.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

  • Ability to follow a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Basic ability to operate a computer using Microsoft Office software and accountable mail tracking system. Basic typing skills

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
