What you will do

Johnson Controls is hiring! The Mechanical Engineer is part of the BE, AirSide Engineering Team. You will perform a full range of engineering work requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out engineering tasks. This talented team is responsible for all aspects and execution of AHU Design & Application. This position is onsite and based in York, PA.

How you will do it

  • Works collaboratively to determine best techniques/procedures/theories and applies them to analysis, design or research of mechanical equipment and components related to the HVAC industry.

  • Applies use of statistical analysis and other quality principles and tools. Possesses an understanding of statistical analysis tools and problem solving.

  • Follows project plan. Participates in design activities with other team members.

  • Work under the guidance of senior engineers to support mechanical design and development

  • Follow established engineering processes and work instructions

  • Assist in creating mechanical designs based on written specifications and project requirements

  • Participate in design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams

  • Learn and apply CAD tools and simulation software to support design efforts

  • Communicate effectively with project team members to ensure alignment and timely delivery

  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and manage your work with support from mentors

  • Adheres to the Company's Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standards.

What you will need

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ABET accredited) or related science or equivalent.

  • Understanding of business principles for the business unit.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint). AutoCAD / Inventor experience.
