The Department of Nursing is seeking a motivated and transformational leader with a passion for urgent and emergent patient care to fill theClinical Nurse Leader (CNL) or CNL Fellow role supporting the Urgent Care in Onalaska.

What you will do:

  • Fulfill a 1.0 FTE; full-time, salaried position

  • Typical work schedule isnormal business hours, Monday through Friday; however, with supporting a team who works into evenings and weekends,flexibility for off shift support is required

  • This role supports nursing practice and patient outcomes for patients served in Urgent Care in Onalaska

  • The CNL is responsible for overseeing the care of a cohort of patients and assuring optimal care coordination and outcomes for their area of responsibility.

  • The role provides clinical leadership at the point of care and is vital in mitigating risks for our patients, promoting effective communication across disciplines and guiding nurses to continually grow in their practice.

  • As transformational leaders, CNLs use change management and process improvement skills to close gaps in care systems.

  • Act as a change agent and advocate while participating in both unit-based and system-wide improvement work and projects

  • Collaborate with great teams: Emergency ServicesLeadership Teams (Director, Manager, Clinical Nurse Leader, Professional Development Nurse, Quality Improvement Nurse)

  • Large group of 15+ CNLs and CNL Fellows

  • Clinicians,frontlinestaff

What you will get:

  • Starting annual salary for a Clinical Nurse Leader is of $91,020/year+ MORE for experience; for a Clinical Nurse Leader Fellow, starting pay is $88,000/year

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required

  • Must graduate with a master's degree in nursingand obtain CNL certification within 3 years

  • RN licensure to practice in the state of Wisconsin upon hire

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant RN experience in Urgent Care orEmergency Services. Idealcandidate will have >1-year prior CNL experience in acute setting

  • Skills that willhelp you be successful in this role include leadership, professionalism, organization, accountability, and collaboration

  • Current BLS CPR, ACLS, PALS. The ideal candidate will have certifications in Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC).
