The Position The mission of every Robertson employee is to execute their responsibilities with the #1 goal of saving and protecting the lives of service members across the globe. The Structures & Dynamics Analysis Engineer provides structures and dynamics guidance during the initial through final design and development of fuel system components and restraint systems; as well as support design verification and qualification activities by performing specialized analysis and by writing clear and concise documentation including test plans, reports, memos, and trip reports. Requirements
Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and Experience Structures & Dynamics Engineer- I: A Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Previous internship experience in an engineering field is preferred. Structures & Dynamics Engineer- II: A Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Structures & Dynamics engineer role; or a Master's Degree in Engineering; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Previous employment in engineering field (commercial, military, or defense engineering) is preferred. Structures & Dynamics Engineer- III: A Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering and a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in a Structures & Dynamics engineer role; or a Master's Degree in Engineering and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in an analyst engineer role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Previous employment in engineering field (commercial, military, or defense engineering) is preferred. Structures & Dynamics Engineer- IV: A Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering and a minimum of thirteen (13) years of experience in a Structures & Dynamics engineer role; or a Master's Degree in Engineering and a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in an analyst engineer role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Previous employment in engineering field (commercial, military, or defense engineering) is preferred. Structures & Dynamics Engineer- V: A Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering and a minimum of twenty (20) years of experience in a Structures & Dynamics engineer role; or a Master's Degree in Engineering and a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a analyst engineer role; or a PhD in Engineering and a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in an analyst engineer role; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Physical Demands Up to 25% domestic and/or international travel is required. While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to walk, sit and stand. The incumbent is occasionally required to climb, squat, bend, or kneel. The incumbent must occasionally lift or carry a maximum of 50 pounds; as well as push or pull a maximum of 100 pounds. The incumbent will regularly use hand tools including but not limited to wrenches, sockets, drills, screwdrivers, rulers, and calipers. The incumbent will occasionally use powered equipment including but not limited to computers, company vehicles, golf carts, fork lifts and hoists. Ability to drive a company vehicle per Employee Policy Manual E.7. Work Environment While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly exposed to mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to dirty working conditions, heat or cold ranging between 65 and 100 degree ambient conditions, vapors or fumes, and dust shavings. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate (< 85 dB) in office areas and moderate to loud in production areas (.85dB). The incumbent is required to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including Nitrile or Chloroprene gloves, negative pressure respirator, dust mask, safety glasses, goggles, and hearing protection.
