Are you ready to be on the frontline of innovation? At Staffmark, we are seeking to fill a Design Engineer position at a leading global electric vehicle company. Join our team of innovators in Casa Grande, AZ.

Daily Schedule & OT estimate: Mon-Fri, 40 hrs/week, overtime is expected with expectation to travel to Newark, CA as well as Southfield, MI.

Pay Rate: $60 - $65/hr.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Research, design, develop, and test mechanical products, tools, machines, and systems.
  • Analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to assess time and cost feasibility.
  • Assist drafters in developing structural designs using engineering tools, CAD software, and technical drawings.
  • Apply engineering judgment, maintain development history, and collaborate openly with team members.
  • Contribute to the design, engineering, and testing of airbags for Lucid production vehicles.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME or similar) required.
  • 7+ years of engineering experience (10+ preferred).
  • Minimum 3+ years of airbag design experience, including 1+ year in curtain airbag design.
  • 3-5 years of experience with OEM and/or Tier 1 suppliers in automotive restraints.
  • Strong skills in CAD, blueprint reading, technical drawing, and data interpretation.
  • Creativity, analytical and problem-solving ability, and strong communication skills.
  • Team-oriented, detail-focused, and able to document and share work effectively.
