About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Risk Intern. In this role, you will assist in building our Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) solution and support the enterprise risk management and operational assurance teams. Key responsibilities include managing and updating the GRC system, tracking remediation plans, issues, and corrective actions, and providing project and administrative support for cross functional initiatives. You will also help maintain and update our risk and control matrix by processing changes from enterprise risk management, operational assurance, risk assurance and government contracts. This internship offers practical experience in risk management and compliance within a collaborative environment.

This is a part-time internship anticipated to work 20-25 hours per week, remotely.

Who we're looking for



  • Assist in building and enhancing the governance, risk and compliance (GRC) solution.
  • Manage and update the GRC system to ensure accurate and timely information track and document remediation plans, issues, and corrective actions.
  • Provide project and administrative support for cross functional initiatives.


  • Assist in updating the risk and control matrix by processing changes from relevant teams.


  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure consistency and efficiency in team processes.
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to ongoing risk management discussions.


  • Support enterprise risk management, Government Reporting and operational assurance teams in their initiatives.


Who we're looking for



  • Current Student with GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Pursuing a degree in Risk, IT, legal or related field
  • High School Diploma or equivalent require
  • Ability to work 20-25 hours per week, with up to 40 hours during peak activity periods.
  • High degree of organizational skills, and the ability to work as a self-starter.
  • Respect for details and ability to document them without a high level of supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize/execute to achieve company and project goals with prudence and a sense of urgency.
  • Collaborative approach and respectful relationship style with colleagues. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • General relevant computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills


  • Possession of a valid state issues driver's license and safe driving record are required



Typical Physical Demands: Regularly use hands to manipulate tools, controls, phones, and computer keyboard. Frequently stand, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, and stoop. Sit and stand to do clerical work. Regularly lift and move office supplies up to 20 lbs.

Work is performed in an office. Employee frequently interacts directly with community management, facilities management, residents and other staff members during the workday.

Pay Rate: $20.00-25.00 hr.
