Network Health's success is rooted in its mission to create healthy and strong Wisconsin communities. Network Health is seeking a Director of Marketing who would be responsible for the organization's efforts in communications, direct marketing, digital presence, brand management and market research.

The position represents the marketing department on the vice president's council, manages a multi-million-dollar budget and is responsible for managing external relationships with executives at all agency partners. The position must monitor industry trends and cross-functional operational changes to ensure Network Health maintains its position as a market leader in brand experience.

Location: Candidates must reside in the state of Wisconsin for consideration. With our hybrid workplace model, this position is eligible to work 3 days a week at your home office (reliable internet is required), and 2 days a week at one of our offices in Menasha or Brookfield.

Hours: 1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week, 8am-5pm Monday through Friday

Job Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for brand management including research, development, execution of Network Health's brand. Measures and adjusts attributes of the brand position according to market and consumer needs, managing constituents' brand experience to assure alignment with the brand position and attributes. Conducts market research regarding all constituents' brand experience and works with responsible parties to develop performance improvement plans.
  • Responsible for creating the annual Marketing and Communications Plan, employing all appropriate media and including metrics and success criteria. Includes keeping abreast of national and local market trends and incorporating those trends into Network Health strategies.
  • Responsible for and ensures all external communications, advertising and operations support brand promise, drive customer loyalty and increase product demand.
  • Leads organization's advertising efforts in accordance with strategic goals and maintains relationships with outside agencies.
  • Conducts market research, actively participates in product development / enhancements, organizes marketing efforts for product launch, developing sales tools and performing competitive market analysis.
  • Prioritize and oversee multiple communications projects and plans for various internal and external audiences, through strong organization and project management
  • Deliver effective formal presentations and facilitate meetings/processes, by packaging and delivering messages, interpreting and using feedback effectively and conveying key business strategies to stakeholders
  • Provide mentorship, support and leadership to team while managing overall performance. Maximize employee performance through regular team meetings, effective training, regular performance discussions, development activities and formal performance reviews
  • Oversee cross functional impact team and implement/maintain processes for business unit accountability, issue resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Creation and oversight of appropriate budgets. Regularly tracks costs, ensuring these are managed within budget, employing cost containment measures and retaining quality and efficient workflows
  • Develop and execute communication operational standards, processes and trainings, including communication planning


Job Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, communications, journalism or related field required.
  • 7-8 years of marketing/communications experience.
  • At least 5 years leadership experience required.
  • 5-7 years of health insurance experience preferred
  • Market planning and research, marketing communications project management, staff development, writing, design and editorial critique, presentation capabilities.
  • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels.
  • Documented track record in developing and implementing marketing strategies / plans that have consistently met or exceeded planned objectives.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, editorial and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with both internal and external customers.
