JOB DESCRIPTION:

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Serves as a liaison between the finance function, IT, and business partners to support, manage, maintain, and enhance the organization's Workday Financial system to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in financial operations to meet business needs across the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains foundational Workday data models and ensure proper system setup across modules.
  • Maintains strong data governance, including audits, reconciliations, and data accuracy validations.
  • Serves as subject matter expert (SME) for Workday Financials; provides complex problem-solving expertise for user interface issues and technical support.
  • Partners with the Finance team to define functional requirements including data, configuration, integration, and portal needs and translate into technical requirements.
  • Advocates and influence finance solutions and inform on new trends and technologies.
  • Leads Workday semi-annual release management activities, including impact assessments, regression testing, configuration updates, and deployment.
  • Oversees quality assurance, creation of test scripts and testing execution in Sandbox.
  • Develops and maintain training materials, user guides, SOPs, and reference documentation.
  • Stays current with emerging technologies, best practices, and Workday Community updates to drive innovation.
  • Maintains finance security roles in compliance with organizational policies and audit requirements.
  • Enhances Workday business processes (e.g., modify custom validations, condition rules, approvals, etc.), to support ongoing business process changes.
  • Communicates system or process changes to users with varying technical knowledge.
  • Identifies opportunities that can improve efficiency of business processes, including technological and business process opportunities.
  • Investigates and resolves application functionality related issues and provides first level support and troubleshooting of our Finance Workday system.
  • Analyzes data contained in Workday and other financially related applications and identify data integrity issues with existing and proposed systems and implemented solutions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.
  • Strong accounting/systems skills including accounting principles, financial analysis, and common accounting terminology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Ability to comprehend business requirements and proactively identify systems and reporting capabilities to address those requirements.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, v-lookups, etc, data validation and report writing skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Level

Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.

Years of Experience

3 years of related experience in general ledger systems, preferably Workday.

N/A

$67,610.00--$101,430.00
