Description

As a key member of the Digital Services Support Team the System Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for requirement analysis, planning, and delivery of computers and peripherals at BC. Work involves purchasing of hardware; and monitoring the maintenance of detailed records of items purchased, received, prepared, and issued.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for procurement goals and metrics involving computer deployment and replacement.
  • Evaluate BC business needs against supplier capabilities in order to select the preferred suppliers who meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
  • Assist in the creation of departmental budgets and track spend against the budgets.
  • Utilize headcount projections to ensure adequate supply of hardware and peripherals.
  • Support the development of the Annual Budgeting for computer and peripheral needs.
  • Manage and improve the full hardware lifecycle process.
  • Maintain working relationship with hardware vendors.
  • Review all new hardware and peripheral requests as part of our internal procurement process.
  • Provide information and reports as requested.
  • Working from a ticketing system to ensure detailed tracking of progress on all service requests.
  • Monitor supply constraints and supply chain issues and assist with sourcing alternatives when needed.


Skills and Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Excellent forecasting and/or demand planning experience, required
  • Experience with maintaining asset management databases
  • Experience with Power Bi and Excel reporting, required
  • Experience working with vendors to source and deploy hardware
  • Excellent reporting experience. Power Bi and SQL preferred
  • Clear communication skills, required


Education & Certifications

  • AA or BS degree (or equivalent work experience)
  • A+ certification (preferred)
  • MSCE (optional)

  • Ability to execute tasks in an accurate and timely manner

Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Location A: $58,000 - $79,000
