Job Title: Specialist Engineer 4

Location(s): Harleysville, PA

Position Summary:

This role is responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance of product certifications for hazardous locations. The specialist provides technical guidance and support across certification activities, manages audits, and serves as a subject-matter expert on international compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and monitor product certifications for hazardous locations, ensuring ongoing compliance.
• Coordinate and host external audits conducted by certification bodies.
• Develop and execute project plans to meet compliance requirements.
• Provide counsel on technical issues that could impact product certifications.
• Act as a resource for product safety matters and support their resolution.
• Deliver technical training to operators and suppliers as needed.
• Participate in supplier audits with critical certification requirements.

Expertise:

• FM, FM Canada, CSA, and ATEX certification requirements.
• Canadian CRN registration.
• European compliance frameworks, including REACH and the Pressure Equipment Directive.

Preferred Skills:

• Design of electronic circuits and printed circuit boards (PCBs).
• Knowledge of mechanical and electronic testing procedures relevant to product certification.
• Experience in product safety analysis.

Other Details:

• Limited travel may be required to support supplier audits or certification agency visits.
