ORACLE SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT (REMOTE)

CMiT is seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Software Developer to join our team in support of Task Order 1 (TO1) under the PPM program, aiding the transition of the PRISM system into the PROMIS environment.

The Senior Oracle Software Developer enables effective development, and integration, from PROMIS to CEFMS systems. The Senior Oracle Software Developer leads the integration process between PROMIS Oracle Databases and CEFMS Oracle Databases, including data extraction to support PROMIS functionalities, tailored database object creation, APEX application development, dataset customization and report generation, cloud migration, and workflow automation.

This position should fully understand USACE CEFMS database and USACE PROMIS Legacy interfaces to CEFMS.

THIS IS A FULLY REMOTE OPPORTUNITY.

Responsibilities



  • Develop PL/SQL package code to extract data from the Oracle Database for custom reporting tables to support CEFMS functionalities.
  • Create scripts to define and build tailored database objects such as tables, indexes, triggers, and views to meet the specific requirements of CEFMS.
  • Assist with integration of PROMIS APEX modules interaction with CEFMS Oracle Database for running real-time reports, updating database records, scheduling jobs, and triggering workflows.
  • Ensure seamless integration and testing of database functionality within the Oracle Cloud by migrating Oracle Database components, including package codes and report files.
  • Assist with development of Oracle Cloud Interfaces and APEX applications to interact directly with the PROMIS and CEFMS Oracle Databases and make necessary updates to data and records.
  • Provide cloud deployment support by testing and validating the migration of Oracle Database components to Oracle Cloud using APEX modules.
  • Participate in development of PROMIS Workflows.
  • Complete comprehensive solution development.
  • Creates appropriate technical artifacts to support development and operations support within SDLC guidelines and application/architecture diagrams and logic flows.
  • Writes quality code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project and delivers easy-to-operate systems by performing unit, system, automated testing, and post-deployment validation design. Coordinates user acceptance testing.
  • Adheres to and drives modern software engineering, by applying Agile and DevOps methodologies with an iterative development approach
  • Troubleshoots application issues by diagnosing and debugging issues within production systems by performing thorough root cause analysis
  • Analyzes, tests, and implements application designs to support various business applications.
  • Maintains and improves technology proficiency with evolving technologies to achieve desired technical and business outcomes
  • Learns, evaluates, recommends, and adapts to new technologies and techniques
  • Other duties as assigned



Education/Certification Required



  • Bachelor's degree in related field or discipline or equivalent experience
  • CompTIA Security+CE certification or DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 compliant certification (e.g., CCNA, Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP) or higher certification required within 6 months.



Qualifications Required



  • Minimum of 10 years of software development lifecycle experience
  • Minimum of 3 years with Oracle Database
  • Ability to remotely work productively in a remote/telework environment
  • Requires availability for periodic on-call responsibilities



Preferred Qualifications



  • This position should fully understand USACE CEFMS database and USACE PROMIS Legacy interfaces to CEFMS database.
  • Expertise in writing PL/SQL package code to extract, manipulate, and load data into Oracle Database tables, which is essential for CEFMS reporting and data management.
  • Proficiency in designing and developing Apex modules for real-time report execution, workflow automation, and database updates, which are integral to CEFMS operations.
  • Experience in designing and developing models, layouts, and reports which are critical for CEFMS reporting.
  • Ability to design relational databases using Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs), create database objects (tables, indexes, triggers, views), and ensure efficient data storage and retrieval for CEFMS functionalities.
  • Knowledge of migrating Oracle Database components, including package codes and report files, to Oracle Cloud and performing post-deployment testing to ensure seamless integration and functionality.



Clearance Required



  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be able to pass a background investigation to obtain or maintain the required security clearance.

  • Office work, typically sedentary with some movement around the office
