Job Description:
- Chemistry: The employee will be expected to perform routine chemistry testing on automated instrumentation, routine daily and weekly quality control, and instrument maintenance.
Urinalysis: The employee will be expected to perform routine chemistry and urinalysis testing on automated instrumentation, routine daily and weekly quality control, and instrument maintenance.
Blood Bank: The employee will be expected to perform routine blood bank duties to include cross matching, antibody screening and identification, selected cell panels, processing in blood and blood products as part of weekly issue or emergency requests, and routine daily and weekly quality control procedures using tube and gel technology.
Hematology/Coagulation: The employee will be expected to perform routine hematology and coagulation testing on automated instrumentation, routine daily and weekly quality control, and instrument maintenance.
Microbiology: The employee will be expected to perform routine microbiology testing including manual and automated testing. These duties shall include plating, gram staining, reading plates, subbing plates, Micro scan setup, PCR testing, and other microbiology routine procedures.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in medical laboratory science, medical technology, clinical laboratory science or in a related science (e.g., laboratory sciences such as chemistry, biochemistry, biology, microbiology, immunology, etc.).
Two years of post-certification clinical laboratory experience (e.g., blood banking, chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, clinical microscopy, etc.) within the last ten years as a certified Medical Laboratory Technician
Minimum Experience:
- Currently Possess the appropriate certification as a MT, MLS, or CLS given by the ASCP-BOC, ASCP-BOR, or AMT with three (3) years of recent chemistry, urinalysis, blood bank, hematology, coagulation, and microbiology experience.
Documents Required:
