HR Generalist (Part-time) - NSK Americas

The Company

The HR Generalist (Part-time) Role

Provides support in three or more multi-functional areas of Human Resources including but not limited to recruitment and employment, reporting and record keeping, employee relations, job evaluation, performance management, compensation management, benefits administration, HR systems, AA/EEO, policy interpretation, leaves, immigration, workers compensation, unemployment, and special projects. Provides guidance and advice to management team and staff related to the consistent interpretation and application of NSK policies, practices, and programs. May assist in the development and implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures and their dissemination through employee booklets, communications and/or meetings. Ensures legal compliance with all HR related functions and programs.

Responsibilities



  • Performs benefits administration including claims resolution, change reporting, invoice approval, and communicating benefits information or changes to policies that effect employees.
  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
  • Participates in the development of department goals, team objectives, and systems.
  • Administers the compensation program; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
  • Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually, maintains other records and reports logging them in order to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Writes, places advertisements, and recruits for all exempt and nonexempt personnel. This includes students and temporary employees. Conducts new-employee orientations and monitors career-path programs over time.
  • Responsible for employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars. Maintains company organization charts and the employee directory.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.


Qualifications



  • This job requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 1 to 2 years of position-related experience; preferably 2 to 4 years of position-related experience.
