Position Summary:

Responsible for the early morning setup and execution of the cafeteria's breakfast service. This role is ideal for a dependable and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for high-quality food preparation and customer service. The opener ensures the cafeteria is fully stocked, clean, and ready to provide a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for all resort guests.

Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:
  • Arrive on time for early morning shifts to execute all daily opening procedures, including turning on equipment, setting up serving lines, and ensuring all stations are prepared for breakfast service.
  • Prepare and execute food items according to established recipes, procedures, and safe food handling practices. This includes cooking breakfast staples and preparing grab-and-go items.
  • Maintain a well-stocked and organized work area throughout the shift. This involves rotating inventory, restocking supplies, and preparing the station for the next shift.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including daily cleaning and sanitization of workstations, equipment, and utensils.
  • Provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service to all guests, assisting with inquiries and ensuring a positive dining experience.
Secondary Responsibilities:
  • Must be willing to work with both the Back of House and Front of House teams.
  • Assist with general kitchen duties, which may include dishwashing and receive deliveries.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Shovel snow
  • Other duties as assigned

Specific Job Skills:

License/Certifications - Idaho Food Safety Certification (training provided)

Technical - Cooking Skills/Basic kitchen skills

Physical Capabilities - Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift. Will lift up to 25lbs frequently, up to 50lbs occasionally.

Additional - Exposed to fumes, odors, mechanical and burn hazards.

Education/Related Experience:

Minimum education required - English reading and writing

Minimum time in related position - Line Cook experience preferred
