About the role:

As a Supplier Lean - CI Specialist you will lead Supply Chain design and improvement activities including the following: Optimizing supplier manufacturing processes, implementing lean tools, analyzing current state and implementing an improved future state, improving material flow to reduce working capital and increase on-time delivery, and supporting the Execution Team on critical Supplier Recoveries & Issue Management.

You will report to the AP1000 Supplier Performance Manager and work 100% REMOTE.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and deliver training programs for lean manufacturing techniques such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.



  • Work with Product Engineering to ensure the integrity and clarity of engineering drawing requirements and that all expectations are communicated to support suppliers.



  • Work directly with suppliers to implement and perform process capability analysis (Cpk) and process qualification.



  • Lead technical assessments of suppliers for manufacturing capability, capacity, process controls, compliance with applicable regulations, codes & standards, and associated risks.



  • Lead supplier development and qualification activities for new products (e.g., identification of project risks and mitigating actions, managing project schedules, approval of supplier process documents, process capability analyses, measurement system analyses.



  • Lead cost reduction activities within the supply base.



  • Lead complex issue recovery efforts.



  • Maintain industry-leading knowledge through training, research, process councils.



  • Mentor members of the Supplier Performance Engineering Execution teams.



  • Lead product and process-focused projects on complex products and manufacturing and internal processes. Using industry- lean and six-sigma methodologies.



  • Design and implement internal systems that improve productivity and reduce defects.




Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.



  • 5+ years of experience implementing Lean methodologies, collaborating with teams, collecting and analyzing data to measure performance, training staff, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement to enhance operational efficiency and achieve our goals.



  • Professional Certifications (preferred): Lean Six-Sigma, Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE), or equivalent experience and a development plan to pursue.





We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $90,000 to $112,500 per year.
