Position Purpose







The Strategic Business Analyst provides outcome-focused thinking to frame executable work to reach business and organizational goals. The Strategic Business Analyst works with members of the Executive Team, Enterprise Project Management Office, business owners, and partner organizations to ensure strategic plan alignment, and selection of the right solutions to address business gaps. This position's primary responsibility is to intake and vet project requests, as well as to help ensure collaboration across Departments, Divisions, and Service Lines to execute on the organization's Strategic Plan.





















Nature and Scope







This role drives project development within the strategic planning cycle, refining the "what and why" of project definition. The Strategic Business Analyst understands business context and challenges, analyzes and communicates project elements across the matrixed organization, and can elicit and articulate the required outcomes of strategic plans and projects. This position is expected to leverage best practice business analysis techniques to identify how to translate strategic plans into actionable projects; , as well as serve as an informal subject leader to the project teams in matters of strategic initiatives and change management.

A successful Strategic Business Analyst will clearly articulate to management and stakeholders the insights gleaned from strategy and project work through excellent verbal and written communication skills (communication channels to include: email, PowerPoint, in-person presentation, etc.). They are intellectually curious, with strong creative and imaginative prowess to draw robust conclusions from information and various data sources. It is crucial that they have the skill and understanding to separate the vital few from the less crucial many in regard to solutioning- both in strategic planning and project support. A Strategic Business Analyst will apply logical thought and objectivity to their analysis, upholding the enterprise-level long-term perspective.

* This position will work with business stakeholders to understand goals and requirements for both strategic and operational projects

* Expected to have a strong background in Business Analysis best practices including both traditional and agile requirements gathering and documenting

* Expected to have experience in Hoshin Kanri and A3 planning and execution

* Must have the ability to evaluate current processes and workflows to find opportunities for improvement

* Must be willing to engage many stakeholders and broker discussions around optimization and change

* Must be able to create detailed documentation of collected information conforming to industry and Renown team standards

* Expected to give recommendation on viable solutions for business needs

* Must be able and willing to present results and status updates to senior staff

* Must be willing and able to perform data governance and analysis for requirements gathering and root cause analysis

* Applicants must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate the insights from findings to management and relevant stakeholders

Education:



Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Information Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or other related disciplines. Relevant years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.



Experience:



3+ years in healthcare required. 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, information systems or other relevant disciplines. Experience in market analysis or strategic planning a plus.

Computer / Typing:



Professional: Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
