Acara Solutions is looking for RF Microwave Technicians to work for our client located in San Leandro, CA who specializes in Defense manufacturing.

Salary: $66,000 - $123,000 Annually
Shift timing: 9/80 schedule (Every other Friday off) Day shift and swing shift available (Swing shift has a 10% shift differential)
Here is what you will do:
Primary focus:
- Responsible for testing and troubleshooting microwave components, sub-assemblies and final products to ensure products meet company and customer specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Performs set-up and checks accuracy of standard microwave bench test equipment, such as sweep generators, network analyzers, and frequency counters.
- Performs microwave test, takes measurements and tunes products to meet specifications.
- Troubleshoots components, sub-assemblies final products and/or systems and test equipment to determine cause and remedy of malfunctions.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment used to test antennas.
- Evaluates, test and recommends commercial test equipment for use in the production test department.
- Interfaces, as directed; with other departments to resolve problems regarding testing or assembly.
- May provide work direction to lower level technicians.
- Performs data review and trend analysis on antenna data.
- Performs limited, intermittent physical exertion. Works under acceptable conditions with some distraction due to occasional exposure to noise, dust, heat or chemicals.
- Accurately reduce all data to real numbers for final atp's.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
- Requires a an AA degree in electronics or a minimum of 2 years specialized trade or military training and/or a minimum of four years of related experience.
- Requires the use of complicated drawings and specifications, intermediate mathe*matics, a wide variety of precision measuring instruments, and ex*perience testing, troubleshooting and repairing microwave products.
- Must be able to climb ladders and crawl inside antennas.
Additional Requirements
- Flexible to work varied shifts, overtime, weekends and travel on occasion.
- Must have good repetitive manual dexterity with both hands.
- Must have sufficient vision to see relative positions of small parts and able to discern symmetry and proper alignment.
- Will be exposed to some or all of the following: fumes, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts and moderate to loud noise levels.
- Able to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, and squat.
- Able to occasionally push, and reach.
- Able to lift 50 pounds close to the body repetitively. (Employees need to ask for assistance and use material handling tools for lesser weight in awkward location and/or body positions and for any items over 50 pounds).
- Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as necessary.
- Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance.
