GENERAL SUMMARY


The SBA Loan Portfolio Officer will be supporting the SBA team by providing service and monitoring for assigned loan portfolios. The SBA Loan Portfolio Officer will work closely with senior team members to ensure compliance, maintain client relationships, and manage the ongoing performance of the loan portfolios.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Under the direction of the SBA Operations Manager, service and maintain existing SBA loan portfolio assigned.
  • Take responsibility for assigned portfolio during internal and external audits and credit reviews.
  • Spread and analyze borrower financial statements and tax returns using the Bank's core system nCino.
  • Track and follow up on borrowers' financial reporting requirements.
  • Monitor past dues and perform various collection activities.
  • Process borrower's servicing request including but not limited to modifications/deferments, short-term extensions, actions involving collateral, etc.
  • Work closely with the SBA underwriting, credit, and servicing teams to ensure a smooth process from loan origination to servicing.
  • Prepare reports such as Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Annual or Semi-Annual Reviews, Problem Loan Reports, and other portfolio reports as required under loan policies and procedures.
  • Monitor compliance with loan covenants and other post-funding requirements.
  • Provide courteous, knowledgeable, and professional customer service to the Bank's clients.
  • Ensure each credit is properly risk rated based on the Bank's risk rating system through continued oversight and identification of red flags. Regularly re-evaluate the risk associated with the loan portfolio through financial reviews, guarantor analyses, etc.
  • Use various systems to perform portfolio management tasks including but not limited to IBS Insight, nCino. Experian, Quicktrak, Real Wired, SBA ETran.
  • Contribute to other special projects and assignments as directed by the SBA Loan Department Manager and/or SBA Operations Manager.


QUALIFICATIONS



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
    Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in commercial or SBA lending in credit analysis or portfolio management required. Some knowledge of SBA SOP guidelines and SBA compliance requirements preferred. Familiarity with loan servicing software and other banking platforms preferred.
  • Skills/Abilities: Basic knowledge of financial statements and analysis and tax return spreading. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks. Ability to manage multiple tasks. Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

$26.44 - $33.17 / hour
Pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
