A Brief Overview

The US LBM Communications Business Partner will work closely with executives and department leaders to design and deliver effective communication strategies that drive alignment, engagement, and clarity across the organization. This person will manage high-impact communication initiatives, provide executive counsel, and ensure messaging is consistent with organizational goals and values.

What you will do

  • Strategic communications partner for finance, supply chain and technology. Acts as liaison between key stakeholders and the communications team.
  • Work with internal department leads and executives to advise them on best practices and communication strategies.
  • Develops and manages cross functional and high impact communication plans for business initiatives, change management, and internal campaigns.
  • Writes executive-level messaging, presentations, and stakeholder updates.
  • Measures impact and adjust strategy with the communication team and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all internal communication is clear, consistent, and aligned with organizational goals and values.

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications or Public Relations preferred, will also consider a Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years of professional experience.

Experience Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of professional experience in corporate communications or a related field.
  • Proven experience working directly with executives or senior leaders as a communications advisor.
  • Demonstrated success leading communication strategies for complex business initiatives and change management.

Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to create executive-ready content.
  • Ability to anticipate stakeholder needs and proactively address communication gaps.
  • Talent for distilling complex, technical, or financial concepts into clear, compelling messages.
  • Ability to tailor tone and format for different audiences.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills; able to build trust and credibility at all levels of the organization.
  • Comfortable analyzing communication impact and using insights to improve strategies.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across functions and foster alignment.

Travel Requirements

  • 15% Travel expected, overnight travel if needed.
