OverviewAzure Core is at the forefront of innovation for Microsoft's Cloud and Artificial Intelligence (AI) mission. We are responsible for designing and building the foundational primitives, platforms, hardware and services that power the current and next generation of applications including Generative AI. Our work expands the Azure Cloud (AI Regions, Region Expansions, New Clouds), scales out new hardware product introduction, enables the safe, scalable, and efficient evolution of Azure and improves the foundations of platform quality for every developer and enterprise.As a Senior Technical Program Manager in Azure Core, you will collaborate with teams across Microsoft to introduce new technology to Azure, enabling developers and enterprises to power their AI services on the most advanced infrastructure. This opportunity will allow you to see how new servers, networks and racks come together with software to build the cloud at hyperscale.You will partner with software engineers, building the control plane managing the cloud's servers and network devices. You will work with hardware engineers, manufacturing and supply chain, datacenter technicians, and our external partners to ensure everything comes together. Your ability to handle a breadth of issues spanning all these teams and their areas will be challenged as you manage the complexity, making it all possible while driving improvements that scale for the world.This is an opportunity to shape the future of cloud infrastructure at one of the world's largest cloud providers. ResponsibilitiesYou will partner with Software and Hardware Engineering to design technical solutions across feature areas, identify and assess risks and propose data-based mitigations.You will set success criteria, build partnerships, and align teams to deliver complex cross-functional projects.You will deliver on roadmap for multiple feature groups, define and track project schedules, develop staging and implementation plan, and manage governance programs.You will drive ongoing improvements by validating use cases and independently developing test cases.
