Job Summary:

The Solutions Architect on the Presidio Cloud Solutions team serves as clients' post sales point-of-contact for Presidio cloud customers. You will be responsible for onboarding customers, supporting customer cloud adoption, assisting with technical requests, suggesting operational improvements, and promoting additional services that will benefit the customer.

Travel Requirements:

In this role, you will be expected to travel up to 10%.

• Position yourself as a trusted advisor to Presidio's clients, and partner with them to deliver robust outcomes.
• Cost Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' Cloud cost structures, including resource usage, billing, and expenditures.
• Optimization Strategy: Develop and implement cost optimization strategies tailored to the specific needs of each client.
• Budget Planning: Assist clients in establishing and managing Cloud budgets, ensuring adherence to financial plans.
• Resource Tagging and Allocation: Advise clients on best practices for resource tagging and cost allocation to improve cost tracking and accountability.
• Cost Monitoring: Set up monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify cost anomalies or overruns.
• Cost Reporting: Generate and present regular cost reports to clients, highlighting key cost-saving opportunities and trends.
• Policy Development: Assist clients in developing and enforcing cloud financial policies and governance frameworks.
• Client Education: Educate client teams on FinOps best practices and provide training as needed.
  
  
  

• Proficiency in AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Budgets, and other cost management tools.
• Knowledge of the FinOps Framework operating model
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a consulting team.
• Experience with third-party cost management tools such as Cloudzero or Finout.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IAC) tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Knowledge of AWS Well-Architected Framework principles.
• Previous experience in a consulting role.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations

Education and Experience:

• A bachelor's degree or the equivalent experience and/or military experience.
• 10+ years of experience in Cloud financial operations and cost optimization.
• FinOps Certified Practitioner certification or higher-level AWS certifications.
